Wow! I can't believe this month has flown by like it has! Thanksgiving is this Thursday!!! Have you made it to the grocery store to buy everything you need? I went yesterday and believe it or not they haven't sold out of canned cranberry sauce yet, haha. Thanksgiving is a time of year to gather with friends and family and to express your love and thanks. Will you be spending time with anyone on Thursday? I know a lot of first responders and they will be working just like any other day. We have a few of those in my family and we always stop at some point during the meal to say how thankful we are to them for their dedication to their job. When I was a kid Thanksgiving was one of my favorite holidays (I'm a big pumpkin pie fan) and I have so many wonderful memories of lots and lots of extended family coming over to my grandmothers house for the day. All the men would be sitting in front of the t.v. watching the football games and every single woman would be crowded into the kitchen maybe not exactly helping out with dinner prep but they were there talking and commiserating. I think that is why Thanksgiving meant so much to me, the entire family dropped everything to be together for one day. I will forever be thankful for those memories and thankful for my family.
